Simon Finn is a former Cabinet minister, serving as a Queensland Government MP from 2004 to 2012.
Now based in Victoria in a senior business role, Simon brings a wealth of public policy and business knowledge to his role as a non-executive director on the GWI Board. Simon has extensive public policy experience and the expertise to support GWI during the company’s expansion.
Simon was appointed as the Queensland Government Minister for Government Services, Building Industry and Information and Communication Technology in February 2011. This role included policy leadership in government procurement, capital projects and service delivery.
Simon also served as Parliamentary Secretary for Industrial Relations and on a range of Parliament committees including the Environment and Resources committee.
Before entering the State Parliament Simon worked in policy advice and service delivery roles in the higher education and community sectors.
