Glentworth Consulting has announced a major rebrand of the company which will now be known as GWI.
The change in both company and brand name reflects the rapid growth and evolution of the business over the past decade of operations.
It also comes at a time where GWI is poised for rapid expansion both in Queensland and along the eastern seaboard, said Chief Executive Officer and co-owner Neil Makepeace
“Over the next 12 months, we will continue to expand our team and to grow our offerings in NSW, on the back of our growing portfolio of interstate work,” said Makepeace.
“Our staff numbers have increased 25% over the past year, in response to a national upsurge in demand for information and data expertise.
“Nation-wide, governments, councils and the corporate sector, have a much greater recognition of the value of information and data as critical organisational assets enabling evidence-based decisions.
“Information and data help organisations to make sense of complex problems, and it empowers them to make grounded decisions and to act with confidence.
“Our growth has been driven by the growth of smart cities, privacy breach requirements, data security, and understanding how to manage ballooning information and content assets.”
GWI delivers services across five practice areas: information and data which are the core of the business, and which supports its business advisory work in strategy; policy and performance; and governance and information security.
Of the company’s new name, founder and executive chairman Neil Glentworth said GWI’s growing team of 30 professionals would continue to deliver evidence-based advice that takes the guesswork out of decision making.
“Since 2008, Glentworth Consulting has been synonymous with inspiring discovery through information and data,” said Glentworth.
“The name GWI builds on our history and recognises that our business has evolved and includes a unique team of professionals who are experts in data and information but also have expertise in delivering the highest level of business advisory services.
“GWI has an enviable track record; from transitioning organisations into new economic and regulatory conditions, saving millions off operational and capital budgets, and delivering tangible results to all levels of government, industry and community.
“In this fast-moving world, where data and information is critical to every facet of life we’re making sure we stay ahead, inspiring solutions and new ways of thinking.
Bolstered by rigorous systems (ISO9001) and expertise in privacy and security, GWI works with its clients to safeguard them from the increasing risks of security, privacy and digital rights breaches and responsibilities.
“We are very excited about our new brand which we believe encapsulates our commitment to inspiring discovery and empowering action,” Makepeace said.
