We are incredibly proud and excited to share that GWI has been awarded 2024 Employer of the Year by Women in Digital.
The Women in Digital (WiD) Awards were founded in 2018 based on the idea ‘you can’t be what you can’t see’.
The 2024 WiD awards had 19 categories with over 900 submissions. In the Employer of the Year category, GWI was a finalist alongside organisations including Patient Zero, Rio Tinto, Mantel Group and Pax8 Australia. This award recognises the importance of diversity in developing more innovative and inclusive companies to support the future pipeline of women in technology.
The judges remarked that GWI was chosen for our “impressive commitment to fostering diversity beyond gender, with innovative initiatives and a clear dedication to creating lasting DEI change within corporate culture in Australia”.
GWI Managing Partner, Michelle Teis, said that “this award is a testament to the women of GWI who continue to stand out as exemplars of intelligent and talented contributors to the digital world.”
In 2021, Michelle won Women in Digital’s National Data Leader of the Year Award for her efforts leading an enterprise-wide data governance and enablement program for an ASX-listed corporation employing approximately 28,000 people.
We’re extremely proud to have been awarded this prestigious accolade alongside our recognition from Women in Technology for Employer of Change. We will continue to hold ourselves to account for providing a workplace in which everyone has the opportunity to be all they can be.
Congratulations to the extensive list of finalists and winners, we are humbled to be recognised alongside such outstanding women and businesses. Thank you to Women in Digital, Holly Hunt and Hunt & Co.
