We have partnered with urban and regional communities to make a difference on the ground.
GWI is proud of its influential role in ensuring the privacy of more than 500,000 school children across Queensland. We have been integral to the design and development of the ICT systems that help to keep Queensland’s most vulnerable children safe. This includes Unify, Queensland’s new, modern child safety case management system, and Our Child, which allows the Queensland Police Service to access information directly from other government departments when children go missing from care settings.
We are trusted by our customers to cut through the noise and deliver pragmatic strategies and solutions that create lasting differences. With knowledge and experience across a wide range of industries, we use evidence to create insights and give our customers the confidence to make good decisions.
Our work has ranged from enriching the lives of more than 100,000 aged care residents by designing a model to enable clinicians and carers to access timely clinical data, to designing the operations of Queensland’s first regional Smart Hub which empowered local start-ups to leverage business opportunities and develop local talent.
Through our longstanding partnerships with the Tech Girls Movement Foundation and CQUniversity, we’re doing our part to help students, particularly women and girls, realise their full potential through education.
An independent assessment of our annual greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions revealed that GWI emits 75% less GHGs than our industry average. Through Ecologi, we help fund reforestation, carbon reduction, and carbon offsetting projects across the globe, whilst also offsetting our own CO2 emissions. Through this program, GWI is proudly carbon neutral. Visit this page to view the GWI forest.
Our team is fiercely passionate about eradicating gendered, domestic and family violence. Since 2016, we have been loyal supporters of Challenge DV’s Darkness to Daylight and we are also proud sponsors of two StandbyU Shields.
We have contributed to several important initiatives that leverage data, information and technology to safeguard children and young people. We are especially grateful for the opportunity to support and advise the Thriving Queensland Kids Partnership on the use of data and evidence to improve the opportunities and outcomes for children and young people in Queensland.
GWI also supports Ubuntu through Health, an organisation dedicated to empowering communities in developing countries to reach their health care goals while connecting medical students with global health initiatives.
